Competition Rules
The Competition shall be conducted according to the World Aquatics rules, subject to final decisions by the referee and organizing committee.
- All events will be swum as Time Finals.
- The One start rule applies.
- Swimmers who have represented their state in the preceding 3 years (2025, 2024 and 2023), either in national age group or MSSM or SUKMA, shall be classified as state swimmers. State swimmers to swim in exhibition category only and are ineligible for medals (except for Family relay events).
- Kicking events for Group 6 & 7 will be using kickboard and fins (short or long fins are acceptable). All swimmers are to bring their own equipment. Swimmers for kicking events will start in the water while holding the wall. The finish is when the kickboard or any part of the body touches the wall.
- Relay event 153 is to comprise completely of direct family members with at least one parent. Relay event 154 is to comprise 3 direct family members and one friend.
- Medals will be awarded to the first three placing in each event.
- Each Team may enter as many swimmers as possible in each event and swimmers are allowed to compete in any number of events offered under that particular age group.
- Each swimmer must swim within his or her age group in individual events (except for Family Relay event).
- The competition pool and the warm-up pool will be opened for warmup on the day of competition at 6.45am. No fins and paddles can be used during the warm-up. Lane 1 & 8 for both pools are solely dive sprint lanes. No diving for Lane 2 to 7.
- In order to ensure a smooth competition, the competition pool deck is strictly out of bounds to ALL - except Technical Officials, competition management committee, appointed volunteers and appointed media coverage personnel.
- In the event of long delays from inclement weather or other factors, the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel any events/heats that could not be completed in due time. There will not be refunds for cancelled events/heats.
- Photographers and videographers will be present on the event day. Pictures and video footages taken will be used by the organizing committee for promotional activities.
Entries
- All entries must be accompanies by full payment by the entry closing date. There will not be any refund of entry fees in the event of withdrawals.
- Key dates:
- Entry Closing Date: 17th October 2025, 5pm (Friday).
- Withdrawal dateline: 24th October 2025, 5pm (Friday).
- Competition date: 1st November 2025, 8am (Saturday).
Protest
All protests must be made on appropriate forms accompanied by a RM100.00 fee, half an hour after the results have been officially announced. Protests must be submitted to the Meet Referee by the Team Manager or by independent (no team) participants. Protests shall be considered by the Meet Referee. Protest fees shall not be refundable if the appeal is not upheld.
Jury of Appeal
Protest rejection by the Meet Referee can be appealed to the Jury of Appeal whose decision shall be final. The Jury shall comprise of the following:
- Secretary of the Organizing Committee.
- A representative from two participating Clubs not involved in the dispute.
